Curious for recommendations around developing beyond a “jelled team.”
I’ve helped build an amazing team, and now the next level is about influencing other teams and working to make change across the org to further empower my team.
I’m a bit stuck at this point so any tips would be appreciated.
My take, is to start getting involved in the business side. If you have 15 minutes, I shared my tactics in this talk (watching the first 30 at X2, the last 15 are just questions 🙃):
Thanks for the recommendations! From this list, I've only read "The Manager's Path" so far, which helped me incredibly when I was starting out (and influenced me to start writing my newsletter!)
I'm now very curious about "The Art of Leadership: Small Things, Done Well" and the recommendation of delegating until it hurts. Might explore that soon!

That’s an interesting question :)
This depends a lot on the organization.

The first of those books I read was Peopleware; it's a classic one!
Then I really enjoyed The Manager's Path; that's a must for managers.
I found the An Elegant Puzzle an interesting and different book.
And I need to read the rest!
Thanks for the great recommendation list and article!
For me it's the opposite - read Peopleware just recently, for some reason the name always put me off 😅 I was pleasantly surprised!
I think you will definitely enjoy Stanier's book :)
Yes, I have James's book on my bookshelf already. I just need to prioritize it 😅
