Yeah first customer was a lot of utilizing our network to talk to people about the problems they were having in the space and seeing if we could help them. One thing I will say is it felt like cheating to sign up friends in my network at first and that was a hard feeling to get over. The reality is you likely will not find someone you never knew who is willing to take a shot to be a first customer for a product and willing to deal with the bugs and learning curves that come with it so utilizing your network and people who are excited about working with you to be a design partner of sorts is my recommendation.
Great story, Taylor! I'd have loved to see an architecture diagram and a bit more info into the tech to get an end-to-end picture (where it's hosted, how does it get there, etc)
Love the story, Anton! I'm also trying to do a side-project but till now I've struggled a lot to find the time.
How did you manage your 9-5 job, family responsibilities, newsletter, and this side-project? And how did you manage to find the first customers?
Hey Peter, thanks! This is a guest post by Taylor, he shared here how he got the first customers :)

Also, thanks for sharing my post, Anton!
Glad you enjoyed it Suresh! For the 4th article, there is a behind-the-scenes tech section :)
Ok, there's a 4th article. Looking forward
This is the second one, there will be 2 more in the EM-builder series :)
Happy to hop on a call and talk through it if you are interested too!
Thank you for the genuine story, loved it!
